The Computer Training Center

The computer training center of RPPG College was established in 2016. It is a central facility for students and teachers, offering a range of programmes including diploma and certificate courses. This center is invaluable for research scholars and professors, providing essential information for their subjects. It delivers high-quality services to the community, encompassing computing facilities, learning, teaching, training, research, email, website hosting, development, and management. Additionally, the center supports the college’s core IT systems, tools, and services essential for daily operations. It assists students and researchers in data analysis, extends internet access throughout the college, enables web access, and offers laboratory facilities for various courses. The center effectively meets the needs of students, faculty, and staff members.

Our objectives
• Offering a range of basic and professional courses to enhance computer literacy, education, and professional development for college students.
• Providing a central computing facility with a network server accessible to all students and staff.
• Assisting with research and data analysis through the available facilities.
• Organizing and conducting short-term courses for both students and staff.
• Supporting various college departments in computerizing their activities.
• Establishing, coordinating, maintaining, and administering a campus-wide network, including internet and related services.
• Serving as a coordinating center for networking with computer centers at other universities to exchange expertise and software.
• Keeping track of the latest developments in computer hardware, software, and internet technologies to acquire and impart knowledge to college staff, and collecting and collating information to assist staff and students.
• Developing human resources in the field of Information and Communication Technology.
• Coordinating and supporting various departments in organizing classroom teaching.
Functions of Computer Training Centre
• To provide different basic and professional courses to our college students for their computer literacy, education and professional development.
• To provide a central computing facility with network server for all the students and staff of the College.
• To make the facility available and also offer possible assistance in conducting their research, analyzing their data, etc.
• To organize and conduct short term courses for the students and staff of the College.
• To assist various departments in college in computerizing their activities.
• To establish, coordinate, maintain and administer campus-wide network including internet and allied services.
• To work as co-coordinating center in networking with computer centers of other universities and colleges for exchange of expertise and software.
• To keep track of the latest developments in computer hardware/software/internet technologies and collect information, acquire and impart knowledge to the college staff, to collect and collate information/data to facilitate staffs and students.
• To develop human resource in the field of information and communication technology (ICT).
• To coordinate and extend support to various departments in college to organize classroom teaching.
