Shri Sanjay Singh (President), Rana Pratap Postgraduate College, Sultanpur is incessantly trying to earn outstanding achievements in the field of higher education from its establishment. The objective of education is not just to impart bookish knowledge to the students, but also to create a generation of youth who may understand the needs of their time, society and the nation and work accordingly with full devotion and dedication. Rapid global changes in the early years of the twenty-first century have had their positive aspects but these changes have also made a paradigmatic shift and have cut-off the humanity from its tradition and culture, norms and values, logic and discretion very astringently. The market, media and politics have conspired to build and broadcast misleading truths at the global level and the entire humanity is undergoing its severe consequences. In such circumstances, it is the dire need of the time that higher education institutions should not only provide academic knowledge and excellence to their students but also inculcate high moral and ethical values in them so that they can distinguish between and may work for the wellbeing of their nation. Shri Bal Chandra Singh (Manager), Rana Pratap Postgraduate College, Sultanpur has its own unique identity in the field of higher education. The college that started its journey in 1971 with seven subjects in the faculty of Arts at the undergraduate level, is implanting excellent education in the Faculty of Arts, Science, Commerce and Education. The aim of the college is that it should be constantly associated with the global changes in the field of higher education and new researches in different branches of studies so that the students can get the benefit of them. It is also our endeavour that we must develop healthy human values and national consciousness as well as an obligation within students. Sports activities, debates, seminars and other programs are also organized in the college for the multidimensional development of the personality of the students. Our worthy and experienced professors are constantly trying for the all-round development of their personalities. I welcome all the students taking admission to the college in this new session and express my gratitude to their parents for choosing our institution for higher education of their children and showing their faith.

Rana Pratap Post Graduate College, Sultanpur, located in the picturesque environment of nature on the bank of Adi Ganga Gomti, has been continuously striving for the achievement of these objectives for the last fifty years. Taking inspiration from forefathers such as Babu Bechu Singh, Babu Ram Sahai Singh and Babu Dhananjay Singh and under the leadership of the contemporary President Mr. Sanjay Singh and Manager Mr. Surendra Nath Singh, the college is ready to create its own unique identity according to the new values and standards of the higher education world.
